Individuals and families spend one hour per week in a private confidential setting receiving careful guidance and caring support from a trained counselor. Counselors are trained in providing clients with the skills necessary to deal with stress, depression and communication. The average course of therapy ranges from six weeks to six months. Appointments are arranged at various times and on various days throughout the week. Please call weeknights between 5 PM and 8 PM for information. A donation of $20 is requested per session.
All therapists are either Marriage and Family interns or trainees and working on completing three-thousand hours of supervised counseling in order to become licensed in California. The Free Clinic has a long history of providing training for Marriage and Family Therapists.
