Jonahan Kurohara, MD - Director of Medical Services
Dr. Kurohara has been in practice in Simi Valley since 1987. He is board-certified by the American Board of Family Practice. After completing his undergraduate education at Claremont McKenna College in California, Dr. Kurohara earned his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago in 1984. He did his internship and residency at Harbor UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California. He has been on the Board of Directors at Simi Valley Hospital and has been the Family Practice Chair and Simi Valley Hospital Chief of Staff. Dr Kurohara has been the medical director of the Free Clinic of Simi Valley since 1987.
Meir Keller, DDS - Director of Dental Services
A graduate of University of Southern California School of dentistry and part time faculty at the dental school, Dr. Keller brings years of clinical excellence and academic cutting edge techniques and methodology to his practice.
Kristy Schadt, MFT, RPT - Director of Counseling Services
is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Private practice at Harmony- A Family Counseling Center. Kristy’s educational background includes a Bachelors degree in Human Development and a Masters Degree in Marriage Therapy from Phillips Graduate Institute. Kristy has specialized training in Play Therapy (She is a registered Play Therapist Supervisor), Sandtray therapy, and EMDR. She specializes in working with individuals who have experienced some type of life trauma. She enjoys working with individuals, families and children. Kristy believes that a belief in and reliance on God will enhance and add to the healing process.
Ron Whiteman, Esq - Director of Legal Services
Has been with the Free Clinic as a volunteer attorney since 1976. He specializes in family law and has served a a judge pro tem for the Ventura County Courts. Ron is very well respected and has been recognized by the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce for his work as a volunteer at the Free Clinic.
