Sponsor Childhood Vaccinations
Effective the 2016-17 school year, school-age children who currently claim a personal-belief exemption will need to get fully vaccinated by kindergarten and seventh grade, the state's two vaccine checkpoints. The law applies to both public and private schools, as well as daycare centers.
According to the California Department of Public Health, most Simi Valley Elementary Schools are not vaccinated at the 95% "Safe Level" and are considered vulnerable. The Free Clinic provides vaccines free of charge, but the costs of vaccines are approximately $150 per child for one round. Help the Free Clinic of Simi Valley to protect these children and the Simi Valley Community by becoming a vaccine sponsor. |
